Im Schattenreich

Music Theater for 2 or more loudspeakers.

Commission as part of the festival Saarbrücker Sommermusik 2011.

The music develops around texts from Aeschylus, Borges, Camus, Dante, Goethe, Plato and Striggio, which Bernd Reutler, inspired by the work of sculptor Janine Kortz-Waintrop, selected. The texts are recited integrally in the piece and make up it's central axis: death, Im Schattenreich (in the realm of the shadows).

Voices: Katherina Biehler, Barbara Scheck, Nicolas Bertholet, Bernd Reutler, Dieter Hofmann, Peter Tiefenbrunner.

(Iphigenia in Tauris)
